Volumes are staggering - Recap from CMTs Biomass Innovations Conference
Once again, the CMT conference brought together all the relevant Japanese players in bioenergy and beyond. It is positive for us to realize that they have one thing in common: We cannot expect to see more industrial-sized plants coming on stream to supply circular biocarbon, be it torrefaction, carbonization or steam explosion. The volumes demanded in the energy and metallurgical sectors or as bio-intermediate for further gasification and SAF are staggering. IBTC members are determined to work with off-takers to rapidly increase capacity.
